Creating a shared identity for a local community
Belper Independents is a self-initiated project exploring how a small town can better represent its independent businesses.
Belper has a strong sense of identity, but its shops, makers, and local initiatives aren’t always visible as a collective. The project set out to bring them together under a shared, place-led identity.

Creating a shared identity for a local community.
The brand draws on Belper’s industrial heritage, referencing its history in cotton and the River Derwent, while keeping the overall system soft and approachable.
